Guests will enjoy Dr Loosen Rieslings, paired with a 5 course chef-curated dinner by Glou Glou Head Chef, Laura Greenfield.

We’re proud to host a real character in the world of wine who is highly respected globally for his dedication to Riesling and the Mosel Valley.

An Evening With Sugar Flour

 
 

Join us for a relaxing evening at Glou Glou with Maxine Schekter from Sugar Flour. You’ll enjoy 5 courses, each paired with a wine!

Maxine Scheckter is a French trained pastry chef who has worked in restaurants and patisseries in Wellington (Logan Brown), Paris (Gateaux Thoumieux) and London (The Fat Duck and Sketch).

Maxine now runs Sugar Flour, what she describes as her “true home” for her to share her passion through teaching others the art of patisserie.

Lunar New Year Dumpling and Vino Night

 
 

Join us for a hands-on Dumpling Masterclass and learn the art of dumpling making from scratch. Arrive from 6:00pm to enjoy a glass of wine or beer on arrival before the class begins at 6:30pm.

Over two delicious hours (6:30–8:30pm), our chefs will guide you through the full dumpling-making process — from making your own dough and rolling wrappers, to preparing your filling of choice and shaping dumplings like a pro. Dairy-free and vegan options are available (please note: gluten-free is not available).

As you cook, enjoy nibbles, then finish by steaming or pan-frying your dumplings with help from our chefs before sitting down to eat your creations. The class wraps up at 8:30pm, leaving plenty of time to head off and enjoy the Lunar New Year fireworks afterwards.
